My community, Cultural deviation and Biodiversity Conservation

I belong to the indigenous ethnic community called Kirant Rai in Nepal . We are different from the Hinduism and Boudhism. We follow our own philosophy called Mundhum . We don’t believe in the burning of death body like Hindu. Kirants are known as land son and worship nature. But these days, due to the influence from the western culture, the tendency of constructing concrete grave inside the forest land is increasing day by day, which not only the economic burden to poor members but also converting the forest into death city. The practice also blamed that the Kirants, who worship nature and live in harmony with nature are being destroyer itself. On the other hand, existing forest laws are also being obstacles to these people, who really want to manage graveyard and conserve nature.
